Public Information Requests

All requests for public information must be submitted in writing by U.S. mail, fax or email and must be addressed to the TFSC Public Information Officer. Only written requests trigger the TFSC's obligations under the Public Information Act. Requests made via telephone will not be accepted.

Please note that any email request to this agency will not be sent via a secure connection and may be subject to interception by third parties.

A request for public information should be for documents or other information that are already in existence. The TFSC is not required to answer questions, perform legal research, or comply with a continuing request to supply information on a periodic basis as such information is prepared in the future.

By law, information concerning complaints under investigation are not public information and will not be released.

For a more thorough understanding of your rights and the TFSC's obligations under the Public Information Act, see the following Office of the Attorney General's Public Information Handbook 2014

Questions should be directed to the PIO at (512) 936-2469 or kathy@tfsc.texas.gov.
